バスク地方名産エスパドリーユにときめく女子旅・フランスのビアリッツへ

フランスのビアリッツへ。

 

バルセロナ、サンセバスチャン、ときて、ここビアリッツが旅の最終日でした。

 

最初に発表しておきます。

ビアリッツでお買いあげした戦利品たち

・バスク発祥ハンドメイドエスパドリーユ

・バスク織バスタオル

・バスク産リネンのバスタオル

スペインのサンセバスチャン(バスク語ではDONOSTIA)からバスで1時間でフランスのビアリッツに行けるということなので、来ました。

ビアリッツは食も美味しいし、海が綺麗という前情報。

波が良いらしく、フランスで随一の地でサーファーに人気らしいです。

にも関わらず、私たちがビアリッツでしたことは、オンリー買い物。

まさか、ビアリッツがこんなにショッピングにときめく町だとは思いませんでした・・。

 

前日にサンセバスチャンで暴飲暴食して体調不良ということもあったけれど、ついてから、バスク産のアイテムたちの可愛さに買い物が止まらなかった・・・。普段、あまり物欲ないけれど、ネジが外れたのか爆買いしました。

 

エスパドリーユっていまや夏の靴の定番だけれど、元々の発祥はこのバスク地方らしい。店内にはハンドメイドのシンプルだけど足元を可愛く見せてくれるエスパドリーユが積み上げられていて、悶絶。

 

色々試着してこの2着を買いました。
エスパドリーユは布なので、履いているうちに徐々に生地が伸びてくるそう。

 

また、つま先がストレッチになるように縫われています。なので最初はきつめのものを選んでいいそう。まあかかとを踏んでも可愛いかなと思うので履いていくうちにそうしようかなと。

何度か履くと足にフィットしてちょうど良い大きさにくるだろうから、それが楽しみ！

レッドストライプの方は、私のサイズでリボンありがなかったから、その場で縫ってくれた！感動。

世界でひとつだけの私のオーダーメイド、エスパドリーユ！

お店の方もすごくフレンドリーで優しくって、いろんなことを話してくれたよ。彼のおばあさんの代からもう60年ほどこのお店は続いていて、今はビンセント@bixentespadrilles さんが全て手作りで作っているそうです。

 

あとは写真に写ってないけれど、バスクはリネンが有名なので、バスク織のリネンのピクニックバックや、ガラスコップなどなど、も買いました。

 

ビアリッツは夏は激混みするから5,6月が狙い目だそうですー。

What I got

a basket bag from basque
Arrived at biarritz in france from saint-sebastian in spain.takes only 1hour by bus.
we have some information as like wonderful food and beautiful sea there are.
wave is value for surfers,then They say that the best place in france.

Although,What we did is only shopping.
With the awareness generated by some info before I got about food totally far away.haha
had no idea I got a crazy shopping..couldn’t stop buying beautiful from basque.

I bought these two shoes.
Espadrilles made by fabric,then gonna getting stretch by keep wearing on.And the part of toe is by sawing special for stretching.well assume I tread on the heel then is cute as well.

I’m impressed caz she saw the ribbon for adding with my shoes there.means it becomes totally handmade for me.I was suppressed to give up if I couldn’t found my original size.

The owner @bixentespadrilles is so kind and friendly.He thought me a lot of things.this store has history in 60years.and all things are handmade.

btw,I bought the linen picnic bag made from basque and glasses as well(not on the picture though.

Better may and june for going toBiarritz,
Summer like july and august is going to be crowded by holiday europeans.
